BHNCDSB Introduces the 2025-26 Student Trustees

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Brantford, ON – June 4, 2025 – At the May 27, 2025 Board Meeting, the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board (BHNCDSB) announced the results of the 2025–26 Student Trustee election. The Board is pleased to share that Riley O’Brien and Mulan How have been elected as Student Trustees for the 2025–2026 school year. Their term will run from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026.

Student Trustees serve as representatives of the student body, offering valuable perspectives, developing leadership skills, and helping to foster a deeper understanding of educational perspectives of students. They attend and participate in all public Board meetings and play a vital role in contributing student voice to the Board of Trustees.

We are very excited to work with Riley and Mulan and welcome them to the Board.”

“We are overjoyed to welcome St. John’s College student Mulan How and Assumption College School student Riley O’Brien as our Student Trustees for the 2025–2026 school year,” shared Superintendent of Education, Michael Lawlor. “Mulan and Riley are highly involved in the co-curricular life of their respective schools and have demonstrated a great passion for representing the voices of all elementary and secondary students. We are blessed to have two Catholic youth leaders serving on the Board of Trustees.”
