St. Padre Pio Catholic Secondary School Opening Delayed
We wish to inform you that the opening of St. Padre Pio Catholic Secondary School has been delayed. Originally scheduled to open in September 2026, the school and child care centre are now expected to open for the 2027-28 school year. We continue to collaborate closely with our valued partners, including the Ministry of Education and the City of Brantford, who have been supportive throughout this process, to ensure the site is completed as promptly as possible.
We understand that this news may be disappointing and remain committed to keeping our community informed about the progress of the new build and welcoming students to Brantford’s newest Catholic secondary school.
Boundary Reviews
The Board is announcing that it will be engaging in three new boundary reviews affecting the following school communities:
- All elementary schools in the County of Brant
- All elementary schools in the City of Brantford
- All secondary schools of the Board
Although these boundary reviews are facilitated separately, they will have a connection in respect to providing data for the new elementary school being built in Paris, the new elementary school scheduled for Southwest Brant as well as determining the feeder schools for St. Padre Pio in Brantford.
These new reviews will take unprecedented area growth and development into consideration as well as help determine the boundaries for the three new schools which will offer updated facilities and expanded relationships that enhance our Catholic learning community.
