Alternative Education

The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board is committed to providing individualized programming for students experiencing significant difficulties with regular attendance at school.

 

Available programs:

  • Supervised Alternative Learning (SAL)
  • Supervised Alternative Education Program
  • School Within a College (SWAC) Program
  • Home Instruction – On school site

All programs provide Individualized approach to:

  • Spiritual focus on the Catholic Graduate Expectations
  • Credit acquisition – compulsory and optional credits
  • Credit recovery for previously failed courses
  • Credit rescue of current credits
  • Participation in the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT)
  • Literacy course
  • Community service hours

  • Child and Youth Worker

  • Clerical/Secretarial
  • Community partners
  • Mental Health Professionals
  • Policing
