Student Accident Insurance

The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board does not provide accident insurance coverage for student injuries that occur on school premises or during school‑related activities.

Accidents can and do happen. Some injuries may result in medical, dental, or other expenses that are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) or employer group benefit plans.

The Board makes available optional Accident and Life Insurance for students. Participation is voluntary and premiums are paid by the parent or guardian.

The insurance agreement is between the parent/guardian and Old Republic Insurance Company of Canada, through the insuremykids® program.

This coverage is strongly recommended, particularly for students who participate in sports or extracurricular activities.
