Brantford Catholic Student Celebrates Publication of French-Language Children’s Book

Brantford, ON – The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board is proud to celebrate a remarkable achievement by former St. Patrick Elementary student, Grace Stevenson, who has received the first published edition of her children’s book, Roofus et la vétérinaire.

Written entirely in French and fully illustrated by Grace, the book represents an important milestone in her growth both as a language learner and as a young author. Grace is now the second student from St. Patrick’s Core French program to earn a publishing contract with AIM Language Learning.

“Grace consistently pushed herself to exceed expectations,” said Mme Lisa Venne, Grace’s former French teacher. “This foundation (AIM) equips learners like Grace to write creatively and confidently in a second language.”

Now a student at St. John’s College in Brantford, Grace was thrilled to see her work come to life in print. St. Patrick Elementary School and the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board extend their heartfelt congratulations to Grace on this outstanding accomplishment.

(L-R): Grace Stevenson, published author of Roofus et la vétérinaire; Mme Lisa Venne, Teacher at St. Patrick Elementary school.
