The Appointment of the 10th Bishop of Hamilton
It is a great joy to communicate that the Diocese of Hamilton has a new Bishop! On November 1, 2025, Pope Leo XIV appointed the Most Reverend Joseph Dabrowski, C.S.M.A., currently Bishop of Charlottetown, as the 10th Bishop of Hamilton. On February 2, 2026, the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, the official transfer of duties of governance from Bishop Crosby to Bishop Joseph will take place. This is one of the most important events in the liturgical and administrative life of the Diocese.
In preparation for Bishop Dabrowski’s Installation, BHNCDSB schools and families within the Diocese of Hamilton are invited to pray in thanksgiving for our new Bishop using the Digital Prayer Card: Bishop Joseph Prayer Card 2026_CBMarks.pdf
