Episcopal Resignation and the Appointment of the 11th Bishop of London
On April 21, 2026, Pope Leo XIV accepted the resignation of the Most Reverend Ronald P. Fabbro, CSB, Bishop of London since 2002, and appointed the Most Reverend Daniel J. Miehm as the 11th Bishop of London. Currently, Bishop-designate Miehm, is serving as the Bishop of the Diocese of Peterborough, an appointment he has held since 2017. Bishop Miehm will be installed on Monday, June 29, 2026, the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, at St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica in London.
