FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 2026 (Brantford) – The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board (BHNCDSB) is excited to welcome more than 550 future Kindergarten students and their families to its upcoming Road to Kindergarten events over the next two weeks.
The Road to Kindergarten is a special event designed to give children and families an engaging first look at the Kindergarten experience. Future students will have the opportunity to meet educators, participate in hands-on learning activities, explore their new school environment, and begin building connections within their school community.
The BHNCDSB will host five Road to Kindergarten events, providing children with opportunities to learn through play while becoming familiar with their new school. Participants will meet educators and principals, make new friends, climb aboard a school bus, connect with police officers, firefighters, and community partners, and enjoy a variety of interactive games and activities created especially for young learners.
With Kindergarten registration now taking place in October, families have just a few days remaining to register children born in 2023 for Kindergarten beginning in September 2027. Families can complete their registration and reserve a spot at a Road to Kindergarten event by visiting CatholicEducation.ca.
Select your Kindergarten Checkpoint time during the registration process, then come early or stay later to explore The Road to Kindergarten event for your future school community! If you missed our registration deadline and still want to attend a Road to Kindergarten event, please complete your online registration and email communications@bhncdsb.ca and we will do our best to accommodate a Check Point time for your family.
