POSTED ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2025

The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Lawlor as the new Superintendent of Education beginning March 24, 2025. Michael joins us from the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board.

With an impressive career spanning over 20 years in Catholic education, including 12 years as a school administrator, Michael brings an extraordinary wealth of knowledge and expertise to the school district. His extensive background in faith leadership, equity and inclusion, student success, curriculum and pedagogy, and community engagement will be instrumental as the Board continues to pursue excellence in Catholic education for all.

Michael is a dedicated community member having served on the board of directors for Catholic Family Services and Contact Hamilton for Children’s and Developmental Services. He is also actively involved in his Parish and is a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus. Michael is passionate about Catholic Education and has served on numerous provincial committees for the Catholic Principals’ Council of Ontario and presented multiple times at the When Faith Meets Pedagogy conference.

We are excited to welcome Michael to our school district and look forward to the positive impact he will have on our students, staff, and community.
