Transferring Schools

If you already attend one of our BHNCDSB elementary or secondary schools and need to transfer to a different BHNCDSB school, no worries… the move is easy!

Note:

  • If you wish to transfer to a school that is ‘Out of Boundary’ (meaning, it is not the Catholic school in your home catchment area), you must complete an ‘Out of Boundary’ form and wait for approval before moving schools. Please follow the process below plus an Out of Boundary form.

Elementary School Transfer

  1. Parents/Guardians should contact their current school and notify them that they are moving.
  2. If the move is within the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board, parents/guardians are to contact the new school, as well, to provide the school with their new address, proof of address (you can no longer use a driver’s license), and name of previous school their child/children attended.

If the transfer of schools is during the summer months when elementary schools are closed, parents/guardians can contact the Catholic Education Centre at 519-756-6369 and ask to speak with the executive assistant to the Superintendent of Education for the school they are moving to.

Secondary School Transfer

  1. Parents/Guardians should contact their current school and notify them that they are moving.
  2. If the move is within the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board, parents/guardians are to contact the new school, as well, to provide the school with their new address, proof of address (you can no longer use a driver’s license), and name of previous school their child/children attended.

Secondary schools are open during the summer. Please contact the school directly for assistance with the transfer.
