Brantford, ON – At its Annual Meeting last night, the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board (BHNCDSB acclaimed Norfolk County Trustee Carol Luciani, Chair of the Board and Trustee Dan Dignard as Vice-Chair for the one-year term.
In Chair Luciani’s address to the district, she outlined her commitment to prioritizing the needs of all students, ensuring they continue to receive the education, support, and opportunities they need to succeed in an ever-changing world. “Together, as a Board, we will work closely with our dedicated senior administration team, ensuring solutions that reinforce our shared mission,” said Luciani. “This includes supporting initiatives that result in improved outcomes, acknowledging our school-home-parish partnerships, engaging openly with our community, and ensuring our focus remains on the students who are at the heart of everything we do.”
Previously serving 5 years as Vice-Chair, Carol Luciani, who is also a second-term trustee, has experience in leadership and governance. She has also served the district as an elementary school principal for many years and is a dedicated member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Delhi and the Catholic Family Parishes of Norfolk communities.
Under Chair Luciani’s leadership, the district is set to open a new elementary school in Caledonia, Pope Francis, and work towards completing the construction of St. Padre Pio, Brantford’s newest secondary school. As well, her commitment to Special Education will help ensure that the Board continues to invest in programs and initiatives that support the needs of all students.
