The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board offers a Christ-centered education to over 13,000 students from Brant, Haldimand, and Norfolk counties, the City of Brantford, Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. The district has approximately 2,100 full and part-time staff committed to supporting Belonging, Teaching and Learning, and Wellness for all. We currently have 29 elementary schools, 3 secondary schools and a multisite Alternative Education school, and 3 administrative offices. We are unique in that we belong to three Dioceses: Hamilton, London, and St. Catharines. We are located within a one-hour radius of Toronto to the east, London to the west, and Kitchener-Waterloo to the north.

French Teaching Opportunities

The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board is seeking French as a Second Language teachers on an ongoing basis for Permanent Contract, Long Term Occasional, and Occasional teaching positions in our Core French, French Immersion and Extended French programs. We welcome applications from Certified Teachers, as well as education students on a Temporary Certificate of Qualification and Registration.

Application Requirements for Academic Opportunities

Applications for all teaching positions with the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board must include the required documents as outlined on the individual job posting. Academic positions within our Board require a recommendation from a Roman Catholic Priest which can be provided via the Teacher Pastoral Reference Form.

Principal and Vice-Principal Opportunities

Applicants interested in an Elementary or Secondary Principal/Vice Principal position or applicants interested in being appointed to the Principal/Vice-Principal Pool, must apply to a specific posting, as advertised on ApplyToEducation.

The Principal/Vice-Principal Pool will be maintained for both Elementary and Secondary positions, which may become vacant at any time. The Board will appoint candidates from the pool to a vacant position, giving consideration to the school community.

Applications for Principal/Vice-Principal positions must include a cover letter, resume, pastoral reference, completion of the Board’s Principal Application Package and any other required documents as outlined on the individual job posting.

Non-Academic Opportunities

The Board offers a variety of non-teaching employment opportunities for staff who provide support to our schools. These positions can either be based within a school or within our central offices. Non-Academic positions within the BHNCDSB include:

  • Support Staff – including Custodial and Maintenance, Early Childhood Educators,

Applications for Non-Academic positions must include a cover letter and resume. Any additional requirements will be specified on the individual job posting.

Please note that applications for Early Childhood Educator positions must also include a recommendation from a Roman Catholic Priest by completing the Early Childhood Educator Pastoral Reference form.

Vulnerable Sector Check (Police Records Check)

As a condition of employment with the BHNCDSB, all successful candidates in both academic and non-academic positions will be required to provide an original satisfactory Police Records Check (Vulnerable Sector Check) obtained within six months prior to the start of employment. The BHNCDSB does not assume any costs associated with obtaining this documentation.
