(Access Requests)
School boards collect, use and disclose the personal information of individuals in the course of providing educational services and programming in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) and the Education Act.
Under (MFIPPA) you have the right to know why we collect your personal information and what we do with it. You have the right to access your own personal information that is in our custody and you have the right to access certain records that belong to the school board. BHNCDSB has a prescribed process that follows the guidance provided by the IPC. BHNCDSB has the authority to implement and follow data safety practices that reduce the risk to the school district’s electronic systems. We know that email is a popular target of cyber attacks. To support our practice, we will accept an Access to Information Request two ways:
Complete the provided Access to Information Form (requestors MUST download and use this form) and email it as an attachment to: records@bhncdsb.ca
OR
Complete the provided Access to Information Form (requestors MUST download and use this form), print it, and mail or deliver to the attention of Privacy Officer | Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board.
