At the March 25, 2025 meeting of the Board of Trustees, we were honoured to recognize Dante Dalia for his mission trip work. Trustee Bill Chopp shared the following:
We are honoured to recognize an individual whose dedication and commitment have profoundly impacted the students of our school district. Since organizing his first mission trip in 1997 to Winnipeg following the devastating Red River floor, Dante Dalia has gone on to lead 28 mission trips, providing over 500 students with opportunities to serve communities across Canada and the United States.
These mission trips have not only allowed students to serve others, but have also deepened their understanding of compassion, social justice, and the importance of giving back. Thanks to Dante’s leadership and the generous financial support from Kent Dixon and the Brantford community, students have been able to experience the power of faith in action, witnessing firsthand the impact of service, kindness and community.
Coordinating and leading these trips took vision, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to the values of Catholic education. Dante has demonstrated all of this and more, ensuring that students don’t just learn about their faith, but live it in meaningful ways.
The Board of Trustees, our school communities, and the many students whose lives Dante have enriched, extend deep gratitude. Dante’s dedication has left a lasting legacy, and we thank him for his years of service and inspiration.
